Osamělý mrtvý muž/Lonely dead man

I discovered the books of Václav Erben years ago during a visit to the antiquarian books when my owner recommended it to me as my favorite reading, which could also have fun. At first he gave me some detectives from the archaeological environment and even offered me to take them for free, to pay them later if I find a relationship with them. Otherwise, he takes them back and finds me read to my taste.

Now I started searching Erbena actively and wondering how few people know it. Whenever I mention his surname, everyone will immediately pick up a collection of Kytice ballads, but nobody will find that the first name does not match. And then I have to explain a long time that they are two completely different men, and my Erben wrote the stories with Captain Exner in the lead role. Everyone is starting to wonder about it, and I will not get to the narrative story because my counterpart is exhausted by trying to understand how two writers of the same name and different works can exist.

The lonely dead man takes a great part in the Prague zoo, but the beginning leads us to a settlement in the middle of the city where he finds a man's accidental walker. It looks like he's just overdone with alcohol, but he's dying in the morning. The subsequent autopsy reveals the strange circumstances of his demise. He was poisoned. He has a stenosis on his body, but he can not say for sure what exactly happened to him. The only solution is too fantastic to be real, and the quest is moving to full swing. Only a few pages later will another violent death, this time straight in the zoo. Does the dead associate anything? The captain and his co-workers Vlcek and Beranek catch each and every trace.

Kniha nepatří mezi nejnovější, během letošního roku ji znovu vydal Knižní klub a oproti moderním krimi příběhům je podstatně poetičtejší. Dokonce místy oplývá romantikou a čtenář v ní najde i dobové reálie.

The book does not belong among the newest, this year it was released again by the Book Club and, compared to modern critics, the story is much more poetic. Even in some places it is romantic, and the reader can also find periodicals in it. Against the books I used to recommend Antiquarian from Erben, I was bored with this, but I bravely read it, and I do not regret it for a moment.
